The Honourable Jim Prentice has taken it upon himself to introduce new Canadian legislation that will not emulate, but out-do the archaic, ass-backwards, industry-serving, user-abusing Digital Millenium Copyright Act of America.
This video was created by Michael Geist, the Canada Research Chair of Internet and E-commerce Law. Geist has a major part of sniffing out this proposal which is slated to hit Parliament next week.
This merits reaction. Online Rights Canada provides a template email that can be personalized and sent to your local MP, the Honourable Jim, and Josée Verner Minister of Canadian Heritage. I filled it out, and will post it up here.
